Adventure Guides Australia will be conducting regular Cross Country Ski lessons at Cresta Valley at Mount Buffalo National park during the 2010snow season. Commencing on 27th June 2010
TIMINGS
Lessons will be conducted at 10 AM and 12 Midday most days (Contact the Ski School on 0439680917 or David on 0419280614 for availability and bookings)
LESSONS
Lessons will be for one and a half hours and will cost $35.00 pp (No equipment supplied or gear available on mount buffalo this year see below for off mountain hire locations) Paid cash on the day to the Leader (Credit card facilities not available on the Mountain
SKI HIRE
Ski Hire is not available at Mount Buffalo during the 2009 ski season. Cross County Ski Hire is available from:

ENTRY TO MOUNT BUFFALO NATIONAL PARK
There is an entry fee to the Mount Buffalo National Park is from $10.30 per vehicle (Annual Passes available)
SNOW SHOE SHUFFLES
FLORA FAUNA and HISTORY
Learn about the way the Flora and Fauna manage the freezing temperatures in the snowfields over winter and how the sphagnum bogs provide year long water by storing and then slowly releasing it during the drier months
Learn of the Aboriginal and European history and how the mountain has been used for a range of human purposes in the last 10,000 years.
TIMINGS
We will be conducting advertised snowshoe shuffles at 2 PM on Wednesdays (During the Victorian and NSW school holidays) and on Saturday Afternoons for the whole season

The cost is $12 pp or $60 for a family (Two adults and up to 3 Children under 14) Paid cash on the day to the Leader (Credit card facilities not available on the Mountain)

The cost of a snow camp will depend on how long, where you want to go and what equipment you have and what has to be hired.
Participation in tours requires basic cross-country ski skills, if you do not have these we suggest that you add a full days ski tuition to the program @ $165.00 pp
There will be two ADVERTISED snow camps available during 2009 winter, one out of Falls Creek and one Out Of Mt Hotham.
The dates for these are: (Prices are all inclusive from start point)
Two day program at Hotham 8th to 9th August 2009 $720.00 pp
Three day program at Falls Creek 5th to 77h September 2009 $990.00 pp

We can arrange for the purchase of some equipment at a reasonable price if you would rather do this than hire!
You will also need to bring - Thermals (2 x tops and bottoms) a beanie, thin gloves, waterproof outer gloves, a beanie and a peaked cap, two pairs of heavy wool or similar outdoor socks etc. (A detailed gear list will be provided)
